Folks:  Earlier this week I shared with you the press release concerning how the 2019 SLPR Funds were going to be spent.  Bruce Michael, Director, Resource Assessment Service Department of Natural Resources, provided us with more detail below specifically related to projects at DCL.   Thank you, Bruce, for sharing this additional information with our members.

Approximately $420,000 has been allocated to support Deep Creek Lake protection and restoration projects. Projects include the following categories:

~$200,000 towards shoreline erosion stabilization projects

~$200,000 towards the control of aquatic invasive species, specifically hydrilla

~$ 20,000 towards the creation of fish habitat structures
