Greetings POA Members:
The following notice is from Eric Null, Deep Creek Lake Manager, relating to input being sought for the second year of the State Lakes Fund. Please consider participating to let your voice be heard.
"The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is hosting an online info session on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, between noon and 1 p.m. Eastern Time to solicit public input regarding the development of a work plan for the second phase of the State Lakes Protection and Restoration Fund. The fund is providing $1 million annually for three years to protect and restore the following state-owned lakes:

This info session will take place as a Zoom Meetings webinar to present the same materials as the four public open house events held in October. The department will report on projects underway in year one and accept input toward developing a budget for the best use of funds in coordination with local governments, organizations, and citizens. The funds can be used for removing sediment, treating contaminated sediment, preventing the spread of invasive species, improving the ecological and recreational value, and any other action the department deems necessary at any or all of 16 lakes throughout Maryland.
Please register for this webinar at this website. A hyperlink and/or call-in number to join the webinar will be sent to the email address provided in the registration form. Questions about this online info session and the State Lakes Fund can be addressed to Yishen Li at firstname.lastname@example.org."
