Below is an announcement from Nick Sharps from the Chamber offering our POA members a discounted rate to attend the 2020 Chamber Trip to Peru. Details regarding the trip are below.
The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce has announced Peru as the destination for the 2020 Chamber Trip. The Chamber has partnered with travel agency Collette to present this Bucket-list tour.
Travelers are invited to discover Lima’s colonial heritage and see why the “City of Kings” is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and explore Andean art forms and the local way of life from ancient times through present day during their stay in the Sacred Valley. Travelers will delight in a home-hosted farm-to-table lunch at a local Quechua community and travel to Machu Picchu aboard the famed Vistadome train where the tour group will spend a night at the base of this “Lost City of the Incas” in a luxury hotel and enjoy an exclusive culinary demonstration. Travelers can immerse themselves in Cuzco, a city that blends Inca and Spanish colonial influences and discover the exquisite cuisine of Peru, which is consistently named the world’s top food travel destination.

The trip is scheduled for March, 21—28, 2020 and discounted Chamber member pricing starts at $3,479 per person for double occupancy. POA members interested in the trip will be granted the Chamber Member discount. The trip is open to the public but non-members pay an extra $200 per person. Round Trip Air from Pittsburgh International Airport, Shuttle Service to/from PIT, Air Taxes and Fees/Surcharges are included in pricing. The Chamber will be hosting an informative meeting on Monday, August 12 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM in the Conference Room at the Visitors Center. The event is open to the public and light refreshments will be provided. The presentation is FREE to attend but seating is limited so please.
